Disease Reporting Information
Health care and laboratory providers are required to report conditions of public health importance to the Florida Department of Heath.
The Florida Department of Health in Hendry County (DOH-Hendry) conducts surveillance for reportable conditions and outbreaks of communicable diseases in accordance with Rule 64D-3, Florida Administrative Code to protect the residents and visitors of our county.
DOH-Hendry has individual programs that investigate and report HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and sexually transmitted infections. The Epidemiology Program investigates all other diseases/conditions which are reportable to the Florida Department of Health.
