The Drug Free Hendry County Coalition is dedicated to empowering youth and, over time, adults to reject harmful substances by increasing education, motivation, collaboration, and awareness to create a safe and healthy community.

Our coalition partners with the local school district, law enforcement, privately owned businesses, elected county officials, churches, substance abuse treatment providers, healthcare providers and practitioners, teachers, parents, and youth to accomplish our goals of reducing substance abuse among youth in the entire county. The coalition serves all residents of Hendry County, Florida with the primary focus on the youth, ages 11-18. We have also have a working relationship with neighboring county coalitions and regional alliances in order to reduce substance abuse within 11 counties.

Drug Free Hendry County is funded primarily by a Drug Free Communities grant awarded by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
